Headed for Hobart this school holidays? There are so many fun things to see and do for kids, and we’ve put together our top tips to help get the planning underway.

Theatre Royal - just up the road, the Theatre Royal’s Staycation school holiday program gives the kids a chance to get creative at a range of workshops and performances. Don’t miss the performances of ‘Interloper’ by ROOKE, an exciting circus show with acrobatics, hula hooping, much silliness and a little bit of magic! Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) - Across the road at TMAG, there’s always fun stuff happening at TMAG for the whole family to enjoy. TMAG frequently runs school holiday programs with workshops and exciting activities for the family to enjoy. Check out their website for more information.
MONA Ferry - All aboard the ferry out to MONA! Enjoy a speedy ride (on a sheep) along the Derwent to experience the must-see old and new art museum. The kids will love the musical trampoline, and exploring all of the colourful and exciting exhibits. Check out MONA’s website below.
Botanical Gardens – There is a lot of beauty to take in at the Botanical Gardens! Take along a picnic and make a day of it. Opening hours for Winter are 8.00am - 5.00pm. Find out more information at their website.
