DriveSafe.org.nz has been developed to help visitors to New Zealand safely enjoy their self-drive holiday. Driving is a great way to experience all New Zealand has to offer, but driving in New Zealand may be unlike driving in other countries.

Driving Directions from the North
Follow the motorway to Wellington and take 'The Terrace' exit off the motorway. The hotel entrance/driveway is located right in front of this exit. This is also a taxi stand so once you have pulled in, find a place to pull over and check into the hotel. Self-parking can then be available for you (charges apply) if overnight parking is required.
Public Transport from the airport
Cost: $12.00 / Time: 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. Only departs from Wellington Railway Station and there are no longer stops along Lambton Quay,

Cost: $18.00-$24.00 / Time: 15-25 minutes
Taxi: Wellington Combined Taxis
Cost approx $40.00 / Time: approx 15 minutes
Travelling to the South Island
