Positioned on The Terrace, the Hotel is within walking distance of Shed 6, TSB Arena, Te Papa, prominent Wellington corporations, and government offices, and can provide affordable accommodation for event attendees. With the recent completion of the refurbished conference floor, the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor is the perfect place for your next event. We have ten conference rooms available in a variety of sizes, all with high-speed Internet and seating for up to 240 delegates theatre-style, 300 guests banquet style, or for cocktails. The entire 16th Floor may also be reserved for larger events like tradeshows with conveniently connected rooms.

Whitby’s Restaurant (level 17) is also available for banquets and private dining.
