In the Hanging Garden

Casual lounge style offering open-air seating, a cathedral style roof adorned with greenery, serving drinks, cocktails & casual food truck style bites. One of the funkiest spots around town, this church come garden hang out is one to be seen to be understood. Quite often a venue for both DJs and live acts, watch the garden party below evolve into a dance floor when the music comes up and the lights go down. A 15-minute walk into the CBD to find 112 Murray Street tucked in behind the shops, office buildings and laneways.

The Den

Drinks, cocktails and Tasmanian tastes. This Salamanca hot spot has fire pits, outdoor dining options, a warm timber and leather interior with an upstairs lounge bar. Plenty of local options to sample a wide range of beverages and the sharing plates are Asian inspired and very morish. Watch this space turn into a dance floor on Friday and Saturday nights after 9pm, a 7 minute walk from the Hotel Grand Chancellor at 63 Salamanca Place.

Society

Tucked away up behind Salamanca Square, a warm wooden interior and soft lighting create a super cozy atmosphere in this sunken hidden hangout. At Society, you’ll find a fantastic selection of cocktails, whisky, gin and Tasmanian tipples. Serving delicious stone-fired pizzas and a range of scrumptious bar snacks, the super friendly staff are always happy to make recommendations to match your beverages or just have a chat. Whether you’re headed here with friends or just wanting to sit and take in the atmosphere, Society Bar is a great chill out joint. Check their Facebook for regular event updates such as Trivia Nights and Drag Bingo. Just a quick 12-minute stroll along from the Hotel Grand Chancellor at 22 Montpelier Retreat.

The Atrium

Our very own lounge bar is one for relaxing, sampling some of Tasmania’s finest and taking in the views of the Hobart Waterfront. From those wanting a coffee pick-me-up in the AM, or the more adventurous wanting to try a wide range of local cool climate wines, spirits, beers and ciders into the PM. Light meals and bar snacks are on offer or book in for our Afternoon Tea experience.

Lucinda Wine Bar

Wine, food and good times. What more could you want? This every changing menu serves up both delicious food and wine that’s hot and in stock. The space is quirky and charming with its heritage pressed tin ceilings, buzzing bar setting or alfresco dining option outside on the footpath. A 12-minute walk into the Hobart CBD will get you to 123 Collins Street
