Launch of Our New Conference Catering Concept
At the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide, we always strive to provide exceptional experiences for our guests. Our new Conference Catering Concept is in full swing, and we are proud of what we have created! After months of collaboration and innovation, we celebrated its implementation with an official launch event held on 16 May 2024 in our Hindley Ballroom.
The evening was the introduction of an innovative new concept with the focus on providing a fresh, healthy and nourishing meal ensuring delegates feel energised and invigorated throughout the day. This concept captures the essence of South Australia’s rich culinary landscape, where tradition meets modernity in a celebration of regional flavours and home-grown produce, our commitment to support some of the finest South Australian local businesses.
At the launch, our guests were taken on a Grand Tour of South Australia where the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide team opened the festivities with a theatrical introduction of five iconic regions, each displaying our new daily Nourish Bowl Buffets. This included:
Barossa Valley: A Celebration of Visionaries and Vines
Experience the Barossa Valley, where the legacy of German settlers and visionary viticulturists has created a world-famous wine and food destination. Guests enjoyed rustic regional aromas reminiscent of traditional farmstead tables.
Riverland & Outback: The Heartbeat of Tradition
Discover the Riverland and Outback, where red cliffs and wildflowers tell a story of ancient nourishment. Our menu highlights native ingredients such as saltbush, bunya nuts, bush tomatoes, and pepper berries. The unique combination of traditional and contemporary working together to create harmonies of flavour.
Central Market: A Melting Pot of Flavours
Delve into the sensory feast of Adelaide’s Central Market, a testament to our multicultural heritage. Our dishes reflect the market’s diversity, combining aromatic flavours and spices that showcase the rich cultural tapestry of South Australia.
Fleurieu Peninsula: The Bounty of the Ocean
Delight in the fresh, oceanic essence of the Fleurieu Peninsula. This region’s pristine coastal areas and rich maritime heritage inspired dishes that evoke the feeling of the ocean breeze and the freedom of the coast.
Adelaide Hills: Autumn’s Rustic Charm
The Adelaide Hills provided a perfect end to our grand tour. Where vibrant autumn foliage and a history of early German settlers and apple farmers create a comforting, rustic ambiance. Our menu offers the zest of artisanal producers, transporting you to a simpler time.
The evening was filled with vibrant energy as guests mingled, networked, and enjoyed the delicious new concept in our Hindley Ballroom, featuring colourful South Australian region-themed décor. Dishes were prepared by our chefs from various SA regions, a feast for the senses!
Complementing the evening was live music by Honey and Lemon, as well as Encore Event Technologies wowing the guests with a truly memorable display of their technology capabilities.
